VISA (CZECH REPUBLIC)
 
Foreigners have are allowed to be on the territory of Czech Republic under the following circumstances:
  • Short-term – on the basis short term visa issued for the period of 90 days (tourists)
  • Long term – on the basis of long-term visa for the period more than 90 days, this is temporal residence (usually issued to foreign students, entrepreneurs, workers, organizers and directors of the private companies)
  • Permanent – on the permission of permanent residence (children and spouses of Czech Republic citizens’, foreigners with temporal residence for more than 5 years)
Major grounds for obtaining the visa
 
Employment.  Employment contract with the state or private organizations. Visa is issued for the period of 3 years. After the expiration the person has to leave the country for1 year.
 
Private business.  Business on the basis of the license given out on individual enterprise activity to the physical person. The license stands out for 1 year, which is for the term of validation of the visa. Annually, after prolongation of the visa it is necessary to prolong the license. Foreign businessmen should be registered by the Trading Registry.
 
Education. Studying in the Czech educational establishment registered in the Ministry of Education of the country. Term of stay in Czech Republic on the basis of this visa is not set off in 5 years of the continuous stay necessary for reception of the PERMANENT RESIDENCE. Studying in the educational institutions which not have been accredited in Ministry of Education of Czech Republic is not the basis for reception of the visa of the given type.
 
Participation in the legal entity. On the basis of participation in the legal entity registered on the territory of Czech Republic according to the "Trading law ". Participation as the founder or executive director in a society with limited liability, or as a member of board in joint-stock company or cooperative society.
 
Family. The given type of visa issued to children under 18 years old, if someone from parents already has or has submitted the application for granting PERMANENT RESIDENCE in Czech Republic, or to one of spouses if the second spouse already has or has submitted the application for granting PERMANENT RESIDENCE in Czech Republic. The long-term visa issued for the term of action of the visa of the parent (spouse) and is prolonged for the same term for which the visa of the parent (spouse) has been prolonged.
 
Required documents for obtaining VISA
  1. The passport for travel abroad with the validity exceeding validity of the required visa, not less, than for 90 days
  2. Completed application
  3. 3 photos 4,5 х 3,5
  4. The document confirming presence of means for stay in Czech Republic, for stay with the purpose of private business - a minimum 3.700 EUR, for stay with any other purpose - a minimum 2.700, EUR
To persons under 18 years old  enough to have half of given sum. At presentation of monetary minimum by children it is necessary to give the application signed at the notary for material maintenance of the child together with bank acknowledgement of one of parents
 
  1. The document on presence of habitation during stay in Czech Republic. The document is notary  certified consent of the house owner to give habitation to the foreigner for the term visa validation.
  2. Certificate of Good Standing.  Children under 15 years old are not required to have this Certificate.
  3. The document confirming the purpose of stay in Czech Republic:
    • the sanction of management of work to the employment which has been given out on the basis of the application of the employer;
    • an extract from the Trading Registry, Memorandum or Articles of Association
    • an extract from the Enterprise register;
    • the information from an educational institution;
