To receive education in Cyprus is not only possible, but also easy and cheerful. Education in Cyprus has a number of sufficient advantages, starting from the geographical location to the preferred educational institution.

 

In the majority of institutions classes start at the end of September or beginning of October, but registration for newcomers begins two-three weeks before. Students have a priority to enroll any semester. Usually, there are three semesters during the academic year. Since College is a private institution it offers better services for its Clients not only in terms of academic year, but also in the variety of offered programs of study.

 

Generally, education in Cyprus has its features. For example if the system is based on the American one (majority cases), the student can vary loading and time on his/her discretion.

 

Educational fees in that case less burdensome (payment depends on quantity of the taken subjects). Offsets as those do not happen, instead of them there are tests during the classes, independent tasks and group projects. Usually, there are two examinations during the entire semester, one in the middle and one at the end. First exam is easier and can be represented in the form of test or project.

 

All educational institutions in Cyprus devote a lot of attention to the accommodation of its students. Big institutions, such as Intercollege or Cyprus College have their own hostels with quiet affordable rent (around 150 CYP per month). Hostel accommodation firstly provided to newcomers, old students provide it by themselves.

 

To make studying pleasant and remembered, much is done for the organization of their free time. Computer labs with the free-of-charge Internet, the organization of excursions, viewings of thematic films, traditional evenings with performances of students and other actions contribute to leisure activities of students. As a rule, there are free-of-charge clubs and student's societies on interests which list in large colleges can be rather impressive. For example, in already mentioned Cyprus College and Intercollege there are dance-clubs, musical and photographic clubs, various business-societies and set of others, plus own newspapers and magazines with attraction of students are issued.
